Portland

It’s that time of year, winter, which means it’s time to explore. Naturally, we decided it was time for a trip to Oregon, our tax-less neighbor. Mt. Hood was the destination, with a little room for distractions. We broke out our snowboards and hit the slopes of Meadows Ski Resort. Fun fact, if you happen to have a season pass at Stevens Pass, it works at Mt. Hood’s Timberline Lodge ski resort! We were fortunate enough to witness a spectacular sunset over the cascades as day riding turned into night riding. Spending the night in the nearest small town of The Dalles, we discovered one of the best brunch places ever called The Petite Province. We took the scenic room on our way back to Portland and stopped at the Instagram famous circular road on the Historic Columbia River Highway and of course the spectacular Multnomah Falls. It’s always a little crowded but well worth the view. A maple bacon bar at Voodoo Doughnuts was our last stop before the drive back to Seattle.
